Well its been 3 weeks now and I've lost 17.3lbs. Although things have slowed down, it's my own weaknesses that created that. I've re-committed myself to sticking with the plan and am hoping to see in increase in weekly losses.
My current pace, after 3 wks has been 0.8lbs per day of loss. The good news is that at this rate I should reach my initial goal of losing 145 lbs by mid August, just 5 months away. I had originally set that goal for the end of the year, so it's still good news.... but I can be doing better...
I hope the next time I post to have reached 20 lbs down and moved that new target date up a bit more.

Updates
OK, so it's been awhile since my last post. I've had a few times where I've struggled and eaten stuff I shouldn't have...like Pizza... or been "grazing" on things like dinner leftovers or crackers....
However, overall, I'm still doing the plan and each morning I wake up jazzed about making today a better day.
Stat update... I've now lost 14.7 lbs!
Despite a few slips, I'm still planning on making this year the year that I finally lose it all.... weight that is!

5 days, 10 lbs down.
wow.
It's a lot easier to stay on track when you see the scale go down daily. The food is "OK"... not something I'd crave, but it's not disgusting or a struggle to eat either.
It's tastes better everyday... especially when it's working!

2 days, 5.9lbs
I'm trying not to hung up in day by day weights because I know how they can flucuate, but when see it go down like this, it's kinda fun.

God is Good!
God is good. I don't say that enough. He has spoken to me in this last week as I ponder my weight loss and my future. I signed up to receive some verses (2) by text message each day. I got my first one on the day I started (yesterday) and here's what it read:
Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11.28
Then the next one came in the afternoon:
I look to the mountains; where will my help come from? My help will come from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. Ps. 121:1-2
Then on the morning of day 2 (today) I got this one:
Do not be afraid or discouraged, for I, the LORD your God, am with you wherever you go. Joshua 1.9
Tonight I met a gentleman who's going on the journey with MediFast too. He wanted to pray for me.
God is speaking. I'm here, I'm listening. Thank you.

A Perfect Day
Well, day 1 went pretty well I'd have to say. I followed my scheduel perfectly. I woke up when I wanted to, I ate the right things at the right times, and I ended it by going to bed on time.
A perfect day!
I don't dilute myself into thinking I have to be perfect, but there's no reason not to celebrate starting off on the right foot!
-Steve
PS: I lost 1.5lbs also!
